Preparing your five rounds…
A SMALL DAILY RITUAL
Wordle in 1, also called Wordle in One, starts with a five-letter word already colored against a hidden answer. Each of our puzzles has exactly one solution in our pinned answer dictionary. Take your time, make deductions, and play another set whenever you like.

How to play →Turn fixed positions and letter counts into a calm solving routine.
Solving strategy →Understand why a gray copy can sit beside a green or yellow one.
Repeated letters →The clue has already been scored against the answer. Green fixes a letter in place, yellow requires it elsewhere, and gray excludes extra copies. You are working backward from that feedback. The only accepted solution for a generated puzzle is the one remaining word in our common-answer dictionary.
WordleIn1 is an independent game. NYT Bonus Puzzles includes an introductory free set and subscription-based weekly releases. Our Daily 5 and Unlimited use our own generated sets. They are not copies of the current official edition.

The central idea is one scored clue and one solution. Our default mode allows retries. Enable the clearly marked one-shot challenge if you want one valid submission per round; invalid words do not use the attempt.
The same UTC date and corpus version map to the same five rounds. A new day starts at 00:00 UTC. Language changes do not change the English puzzle words.
Uniqueness is checked against our pinned list of 2315 historical common answers. A broader dictionary may include other matching words. The Solver lets you compare both lists.
Yes. The interface, guides and help are translated. Puzzle words remain five-letter English words in every language.
